EVALUATION OF PRELIMINARY TASK

PRELIMINARY TASK- CHOICE OF SOUNDTRACK

This song was chosen for my preliminary task and I felt that it was emotional yet built up tension and suspense really well. My research for a song didn't take long as I discovered the song before I even started generating ideas for the preliminary task.

In fact, this song sparked several ideas and I don't think my task storyline/idea would have been the same if I hadn't of come across this song in a time lapse video on Youtube.

CHARACTER LIST- PRELIMINARY TASK

There were only two characters in my Preliminary task, my brother Nick and I. Our relationship and the fact that we live together allowed for smooth proceedings in the production and that my organisation wasn't very tricky.

Nick plays himself and he is trying to escape from Alex as he owes him something. It is unclear what he owes him but the task outlines his regret in getting involved with Alex and his eventual escape into a forest.

Alex plays himself and he is trying to find Nick throughout the forest. Cross-cut editing is seen and it shows the journeys both characters take with Alex trailing Nick in a fast-paced manner.

PRELIMINARY TASK- STORYBOARD

I have done a storyboard to help me visualize the story that I will be creating soon. It helps me to elaborate on the ideas that I already have also giving me structure for my video. By knowing most of the Camera shots that i am going to use it saves time with the shooting of the video.
